I'm not really all that mysterious

Leap Day

It’s no exaggeration to say that my life has changed drastically since the last time February 29th rolled around.

I’d only been living in my house for four months at that point. My sister had just moved in. I think she had just gotten hit by a car while she was riding her bike. Luckily, she wasn’t seriously injured even though she had to be carted off by ambulance to the hospital. The settlement from that crash allowed her to pay for her LLM at UCLA.

My oldest friend B just celebrated his 10th birthday today. For the most part, he’s been on the other side of the country for the last 22(!) years but we’ve managed to stay in touch and meet up from time to time. It’s kind of crazy to think I’ve known someone not blood-related to me for 32(!!) years. #YouCantMakeOldFriends

This time last year, my love ミA彡 had barely just moved in. We ran-walked a 5k in San Diego and then had dinner with J and A at Ironside.

Also around this time last year, I made my last post on Disordered Thought Processes and made my first post here on mahiwaga, on the day that Leonard Nimoy died.

Time flies. February was a whirlwind and 2016 seems to be speeding by. In two months time I’m going to be married.

A part of me can’t wait to see what February 29th, 2020 brings. But I will savor every moment until then.
