I'm not really all that mysterious

To Touch the Moment

      sparks fly off the anvil
caught in the rush of it all
stereotyped and queued up to be
guinea-pigged, tied down, and dissected

To believe that breaking things
and tearing them apart yields the truth
and yet, it’s true
you never know what you have
until you’ve lost it
killed it dead, life’s blood oozing
onto the linoleum
