Seems fairly obvious that ISIL wants us to hate the people they are persecuting.

People want simple answers to complex questions, so you end up with bad advice like "fat bad, carbs good". Then when the experts point out this isn't actually what the research suggests, the people who want simple answers moan and wail about how science always ends up contradicting itself and no one really knows anything, even though the research has always suggested the same complex answer. “You have a Midland accent” is just another way of saying “you don’t have an accent.” You probably are from the Midland (Pennsylvania, southern Ohio, southern Indiana, southern Illinois, and Missouri) but then for all we know you could be from Florida or Charleston or one of those big southern cities like Atlanta or Dallas. You have a good voice for TV and radio.

I now officially hate the holiday season.

The rush of adrenaline as you escape the city at 70 mph, barreling down the Interstate into the high desert, where there are tumultous rain storms, blasting winds, and wondrous mirages. This is how I feel at this moment, metaphorically speaking. May God have mercy on my soul.
