The whole thing about things coming in threes. Again it’s one of those misconceptions that the pattern recognition machinery of the mind foists upon us, but enough about that.

I am trying not to blog about other people's drama in order to compensate for my own lack of anything to blog about, but, yeah, someone else's drama momentarily intruded upon my own. This resulted in the smoking of two cigarettes and much projectile vomiting (not on my part, for once.)

While I'm no naive optimist regarding the democratic process in the United States, I think there's something to be said about the relative calm of the populace despite how hotly contested the election is. Of course, whether this is due to the fact that Americans are among the most apathetic citizens in the world, or whether there is a sense of civic virtue and faith in the system, I can't really say.
