Most of the classical music I know is from cartoons. I never realized how much Franz von Suppé has infiltrated my subconscious (OK, he’s techincally a composer of the Romantic era, not the Classical era)

The following piece also by von Suppé was the subject of a favorite Mickey Mouse and friends animated short that would send me and my siblings into fits of hysterical laughter.
I never realized how much this resembles the Imperial Death March from “Star Wars”.
